morning light – spring

In January I posted a favorite photo of mine that captured the soft morning light.   http://heyjudephotography.com/2012/01/20/morning-light/   As I’m sure you know, as the seasons change, so does the light.  However, morning light, no matter the season, is my favorite lighting to shoot nature photos. The softness of the light brings out subtle details that would be washed out if in the direct sun of mid-day.  The first two photos are of my azalea bushes that are just beginning to bud. The last is one of my tulips, shot low, so I could capture the translucency of the petals, and the light shining through the flower.

These are gorgeous! The light is fantastic, and I love the bright, yet soft colours. So full of spring. I always find red tulips quite a challenge, but yours is just perfect.
